Dedicated

Once a Soldier has been awarded his sword pin he is now a Dedicated and the training becomes much more intense. He does not gain many extra privileges from his higher rank, only that he now carries some authority over the Soldiers.

Dedicated Quarters

Dedicated Quarters are no different from the Soldier ones, if they wish for a bigger room then they must buy their own house.

Dedicated Talents

Dedicated continue their training with their talents and sometimes might discover that they posses another talent, which they must learn to master before being raised to Asha'man

Dedicated Raising Requirements

  • 2 Channelling Lessons

Channelling Lesson (1) covers the advanced weaves in defensive channelling and covers almost anything from blowing whole buildings up to burning flesh from the inside out.

Channelling Lesson (2) covers Compulsion and Illusion two skills that any channeller with a relative strength in the One Power can control. Dedicated learn to travel short distances and to control and manipulate a person eventually working up to travelling longer distances and controlling larger groups of people.

  • 1 "War Games" Lesson

The Dedicated are taken out of the Tower and out of Andor to the Borderlands where they stage attacks on Trollocs and other Shadowspawn as well as Darkfriends and enemies. Those who make it out alive, survive to continue their battle to become Asha'man. Those who do not, are forgotten.

  • Teach a Lesson/Extra Curricular

At second rank you may opt to teach a lesson, simply contact daria if you wish to do so.
If you do not wish to teach then you may opt for a a personal study of any extra-curricular subject. It could be Faction related, for the benefit or your character, or simply just for fun.

  • 1 Out of Tower Trip

As a Dedicated you will be asked to travel alongside Asha'man to help them with their duties. You can go with an Asha'man of your aspiring faction or with a mentor whom you have known throughout your training and you may go anywhere. This is another fairly open requirement, have fun with it and do what you wish, but remember not to descend too far into the ridiculous!

  • Talent RP/Private Lesson

This is a development role play in which your character discovers their second talent. You must write about the talent that you applied for at your Dedicated Raising. This RP will involve discovering the talent and then learning to manipulate it with the guidance of an adept Asha'man (NPC or active).

If you did not apply for a second talent then you may opt for a private lesson RP in which you may RP any subject with an active Asha'man. As long as the active Asha'man deems you good enough to pass then you may have the credit.

  • 1 Weapon Lesson/Beginner or Advanced

Choose any weapon you wish and either write a personal study or attend one of the few weapons lessons posted on the Dedicated Lesson Board.

Dedicated Raising to Asha'man

Due to the speed at which the Black Tower wishes to raise their initiates there is no official raising to Dedicated. However, it is considered enough that an initiate has made it through the first stage of training without dying beneath the strain of such an intense programme.

When the time comes for a Dedicated to be raised to the final level he will be summoned to the Master of Soldiers and Dedicated's Office where he will be presented with his Dragon pin.

Dedicated Specific Rules and Regulations

  • Dedicated are allowed to engage in romantic relationships and may marry if they wish; however, relationships with White Tower members are frowned upon due to tensions between the Towers.
  • Dedicated may leave the Tower for up to one month as long as they inform the Master of Soldiers and Dedicated first.

Punishments

Whenever you do something wrong OOC your punishment most likely will be a weeks' suspension from the site depending on the level of your crime. However, if your Dedicated does something wrong (IC) then you will have to write a punishment post/string- the length and type of punishment depends on the Asha'man who caught your Dedicated committing the crime.
