"Persistent History" and Time-line

The World of the Wheel operates persistent role plays - events from certain ("major") role plays are designed to have a lasting affect on the Wheel of Time setting in which we write.

The time-line below show the progression of these activities

April 2008 - Rejuvenation of the site is initiated with the major role play 'The Revival'. The plot's progression is documented pseudo-in-character in a news-style update thread and on the site's homepage.

Fire racks the Foregate in Cairhien as a result of the merchant strike, causing loss of life and incalculable damages.

August 2007- World of the Wheel opens under the creators daria and jameshertfield Admin staff Helanna and Tal are appointed to take charge of the White Tower and the Gaidin Barracks respectively, and moderators Macbeth, evanpattison and JazzCat are on hand to assist the members and the Administration Team.

The taint is cleansed and the Red Sisters of the White Tower are sent into dispute over the future of their Ajah: the opinion of the Aes Sedai is split, and as a result Dana Keld is raised as the youngest Sitter in the Hall at thirty four years of age.

Also concerning the White Tower, the Master of Arms Moriel Haram is murdered: Talaban Morenae Gaidin takes over his position and begins an investigation into his predecessors death.

Elsewhere, Cairhien's economy spirals out of control following a dispute over foreign trade and riots ensue, while the remaining Illuminators, scholars of a dying tradition, struggle to rebuild after the devastation of the Seanchan invasion.
