Different cultures, hailing from different civilisations, often bring with them unique structures of name. For more realistic character creation, one may wish to follow these conventions, where they exist. The most common form is [Forname] [Sur/House name], however known alterations to this style include:
[Forename] din [Surname] ([Earned name])
e.g. Nesta din Reas Two Moons, Renaile din Calon Blue Star, Zaida din Parede Blackwing, Chanelle din Seran White Shark, Talaan din Gelyn, etc.
sometimes [Forename] [Name] den [Name]
Usage notes: It is unclear which [Name] - before or after the "den" - would be the house name. However, the way the first [Name] following the [Forename] is sometimes omitted suggests it is the latter of the two.
e.g. Nicoli Merseneos den Ballin, Mattin Stepaneos den Balgar, Gregorin Panar den Lushenos.
marriage form: [Forename] (ti [Maiden name/Partner's name?]) [Name]
Usage Notes: Uncertain whether the "ti [Name]" refers to partner's surname or maiden name. Partner's name seems likely as the form bears similarities to the Saldaean marriage form.
e.g. Edeyn ti Gemallen Arrel.
sometimes [Forename] sur [Name] [Surname]
Usage notes: The "sur [Name]" seems to indicate that the person claims House [Name] in their ancestry.
e.g. Berelain sur Paendrag Tanreal Paeron.
[Forename] [Middle name] do [Name] a'[Name]
e.g. Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan, King Roedran Almaric do Arreloa a'Naloy, Cian do Mehon a'Macansa, etc.
marriage form: [Forename] ni [Surname] t'[Partner's Surname]
Usage notes: The male form may be slightly inconsistent - we have only seen Perrin t'Bashere Aybara, which notably lacking a "ni" and is slightly rearranged.
Tenobia's name is similarly odd, with a "si" before a "Bashere" - which isn't her House nor the House of her husband, as she is not married, but the House of her mother - followed by her House, "Kazadi". It may have something to do with her coronation - she was presented the Broken Crown by the High Seat of House Bashere.
e.g. Zarine (Faile) ni Bashere t'Aybara, Deira ni Ghaline t'Bashere.
sometimes [Forename] al'[Surname]
Usage notes: Presumably, this form is derived from the Manetheren form below.
e.g. Egwene al'Vere, Rand al'Thor, Wil al'Seen, Bili al'Dai, etc.
There are several historical forms from nations in the Compact of the Ten Nations:
