Uniform and Armaments

All members of the Legion of the Dragon wear blue uniforms, with coats that button up along the side, ensuring the the gold-and-red Dragon symbol the chests is uninterrupted. Their breastplates are worn beneath the coat for a similar reason.

The Legion denote officer rank by a red plume on the blue Andoran helmets all soldiers wear, and each company is marked by a pennant showing the Dragon and the company's number.

The Legion of the Dragon consists entirely of footsoldiers, but none of the infantry are pikemen. Instead, in addition to a short sword for a mêlée weapon, the Legion bear crossbows reinforced with steel. This lends itself well to the guerilla tactics they are drilled to perform, moving in small groups and sniping enemy soldiers from what cover they can obtain. Alternate-shooting helps maintain a high rate of fire and ensures they rarely have to draw the steel at their hip.

Their marching pattern is in strict, regimented blocks, with an officer at the head, directly in front of a drummer to maintain time and the soldier holding the banner of the company.

In total, there is somewhere around fifteen thousand Dragonsworn in the Legion of the Dragon, but the heavy Asha'man recruitment drive looks set to continue bolstering their numbers.
