Appearance

The Atha'an Miere, or Sea Folk, are dark of skin, possessing straight, black hair and black eyes – the men are clean shaven. Both men and women have tattoos which identify their Clan and piercings to show their social status.

Customs

The Atha'an Miere live almost their entire lives on the water, placing great importance on being born and dying on the deck of a ship.

They adhere very closely to their social hierarchy.
